Escape Quest – Illustration Set for a point-and-click Game
This project is a set of illustrations created for Escape Quest, a point-and-click puzzle game developed at Bauhaus Gamesfabrik Studio. The game was designed and developed by Roshan Muralidharan & Pooja Prasad, with game design, story, and sound by Noeme Effenberger. The project was guided and supported by mentor Gianluca Pandolfo. My role in the team was to create the game’s visuals and illustrations, shaping its unique aesthetic.
Escape Quest takes players on an adventure through an old, mysterious mansion where every interaction could lead to a new discovery—or an unexpected (and often deadly) surprise. The challenge is to learn from each attempt, uncover hidden details, and find a way out.
To balance the game’s suspenseful atmosphere, I designed the illustrations in a cartoonish style, adding a playful and lighthearted contrast to the eerie setting. This approach helps keep the experience fun and engaging, even when things take a darker turn. The visuals guide players through the story while keeping the mood enjoyable and visually appealing.
With its mix of mystery, humor, and exploration, Escape Quest encourages players to experiment, think critically, and uncover all the secrets the game has to offer.
